There’s a particular point in fragrance shopping where curiosity starts getting expensive. You have a few bottles on your list, you’ve read the descriptions, and somehow every review makes you want another one.
But you still haven’t smelled any of them.
That’s a big part of why I’m excited to share that we’re now offering decants and samples at The Scent Plug. You can try a smaller amount, wear it for yourself, and decide where you want to go from there.
If you’re new to decants, the idea is straightforward. It’s fragrance transferred from a full bottle into a smaller container. You get to spend time with the scent without buying the full-size bottle straight away.
For me, that time is the whole point. A fragrance can sound perfect on paper. The notes might include everything you usually like. But the question is still: do you actually want to wear it?
Our selection includes some of our popular bestsellers, including Khadlaj Shiyaaka Sky, Afnan Supremacy Collector’s Edition Pour Homme, Louis Vuitton Imagination, and Sospiro Vibrato. There’s also 9 PM Night Out from Afnan, Stronger With You Intensely from Emporio Armani, and Liquid Brun from French Avenue.
You might already have an opinion about a few of those. Maybe someone recommended one, or you’ve been going back and forth over whether to order it. This gives you a way to find out for yourself.
We have 3ml, 5ml, and 10ml options across the range, with the available sizes depending on the fragrance.
You don’t need to be working toward a full bottle, either. If you like variety, smaller sizes give you room to enjoy that. There’s nothing wrong with loving a fragrance and only wanting a little of it.
I’m looking forward to seeing which ones people discover through this. Sometimes it’ll be the bottle you’ve wanted for months. Sometimes it’ll be the one you added out of curiosity.
